Colleen & Tom's Explorations
Today we slept in and then went up to Muckross House (just up the road).
The house itself was magnificent, truly, and the gardens were lovely. They had children's stairs, which we've not seen before - their tread is half the height of normal stairs.
Unfortunately it was all spoilt a bit by the jalopy driver - he was quite persistent in wanting us to go on a drive (at 20 punt, then 15 when we said no). He kept on and on.
We went home for lunch, then in to Killarney for the Tourist Info - the Blarney Woolen Mills and P.O. We also check out Ross Castle - but it looked like they were still building it, so we walked around it, watched the swans on the lake and went on. Tom and I each bought a jumper from the Woolen Mills.
