Colleen & Tom's Explorations
A cruisey day today as we cruise from the Falklands down to the Strait of Magellan - discovered by Ferdinando Magellan in 1511. Nothing but flat sea as far as the eye could see. Breakfast in the restaurant was followed by a talk in the theatre about our next two ports of call in the next two days. Hamburgers for lunch a little later, swapping info with our Bunnikins so we can all be allocated the same disembarkation time when we arrive in Santiago (paperwork then filled out for that) and paperwork completed for the Chilean government for tomorrow. Then nap time. Would've loved to have done some washing but the laundry has been closed because of the gastric bug. It's made a big impact on ship life - can't even have milk jugs or sugar for coffee on our tables. No self serve anywhere. The Mexican buffet has disappeared. This afternoon I attended a computer lesson on perfecting the use of calendars - but it was for Windows 8.1 which runs apps and is looking more like my iPad. Only about four people had 8.1 - the rest of us are anticipating it. After the computer lesson it was time for a shower and preparations for another formal night. Dinner was delicious - crab with salsa and crab and shrimp pasta! Awesome. After dinner we wandered down to the Ocean Bar where we listened to some delightful live classical music, watching the odd oil rig go by. Then we went to the evening show..... And were so disappointed. Tom says he's seen better at Penrith .....Plaza! (Not even as good as some of the shows we've seen at Panthers!). Two acts - a magician and some gauchos. As we were leaving we saw the map in the atrium which showed that we'd entered the Magellan Strait so we went onto our balcony to check it out - there is land nearby with lights on it - very pretty!!

Shannon I think it looks more like a giraffe!
Colleen Watt I thought it was like one of those Cobras the snake charmers use! These creations do keep us guessing!
