So here we are in Medellin!! The city of perpetual spring has the most gorgeous climate- warm and not too humid all year round, perfect! We flew here from Cartagena which is the far quicker way instead of a 12 hour bus journey, and fortunately relatively cheap. We have arrived in our hostel (black sheep) and are shortly going to go out to meet a girl we met in Cartagena who lives nearby for Thai food and 3 for 1 cocktails! We are just off to our 4th salsa lesson. After we have had dinner we are going to hit the town to strut our stuff at bar Havana with the locals. Let's hope we don't embarrass ourselves. Ron will make us even better surely? xxx

So we're back in Cartagena! After an interesting trip up the coast we have returned to this beautiful city to take a combined spanish and salsa course, as our Spanish is horribly bad and if that fails us we can communicate with some over energetic hip shaking. So ...Tayrona.. Described as a must see by enough people that we decided we needed to go. To get there you either do a huge trek through jungle, knee deep in mud climbing sheer rock faces etc or you get the boat straight to the beach. Since there had been a 12 hour thunderstorm with heavy rain the night before we left we elected to go for the boat option. This took about 90 mins and went straight to the beach of Cabo which is renowned as the nicest in Tayrona. I...
