We made it back to Auckland 50 minutes behind schedule so we rushed out through passport control to get our bags. Our bags took 30 minutes to come out so at that point we knew we weren’t going to make our next flight, but we tried anyway.

We got through customs and headed out of the international terminal and over to domestic. We went up and asked about dropping our bags off, but like we thought, we were too late. We got checked in to the next available flight which was at 10am, still only 2 hours away, so we put our bags through, got some food and headed through security. By the time we got to our gate we only had 30 minutes to wait.

Once we boarded the plane we were excited to get home. Though we were delayed another 30 minutes. Taking off we very rough and Navajo wasn’t a fan. They said take off and landing would be rough, but the whole flight was. We still made it to Christchurch after finding out the reason we were delayed was because the weather was closing in.

We landed and got off the plane rather quick and headed out the gate to meet everyone. There was hugs all round as we were all excited to see each other. After a small chat we headed down and got our bags and made our way to the cars and went our own way home.

What an amazing trip we had! It went by so fast! Was so good to see everyone overseas and to see the places we got to see. Back to reality now and uni tomorrow. Thanks Navajo for such an awesome time.
