We spent a full day at the Pearl Harbor memorial. We saw the USS Arizona, the USS Missouri and the Bowfin Sub. Randy loves this history. We had seen the Arizona memorial before but not the Missouri which was quite impressive to stand where the Japanese surrender was signed. The USS Arizona is still bubbling and leaking oil after over 70 years. They predict it will continue until 2030. It's very chilling to imagine what those 2 hours were like on December 7th...

We arrived in Honolulu last evening and experienced a 130 degree temp difference from MN if you consider the windchill. It was great to arrive here!! We were here 43 years ago when Randy was on R&R. It has changed considerably but we are surprised at how many things are also familiar.

We arrived at port in Vancouver, BC this morning for the journey home. It was a great trip with my Sister, Brother and our spouses! Feel very fortunate to have enjoyed this Alaskan Adventure together! We arrived home late tonight with lots of great memories!

Today we are in the Inside Passage crusing. The views are absolutely breath taking! We enjoyed our balcony rooms with sightings of whales and views that pictures cannot capture. Glaciers, Misty Rain Forests and fiords. We had extra excitement this afternoon as there was an "Oscar....Oscar....Oscar" anouncement which means "man overboard". We learned that someone believed they sighted two people in the water. The ship sent 3 small boats out for the search ...

Today we are in the charming rustic Alaskan Town of Ketchikan. Fishing has long been the bread and butter of this town with the first cannery opened back in 1886. There is a great collection of carved totem poles. We decided to tour the city with a Ketchikan Duck Tour. It took us along the rustic streets and then the boat ride along the Tongass Narrows and harbor front. What would a trip to Alaska be without a Lumberjack Show? So we had a great time at the...
