Today we enjoyed the luxurious "Hotel Alyeska". Following a delicious breakfast we took the tram to the top of Mount Alyeska. We had a great view of the valley below and were surrounded by hanging Glaciers. We were able to take a bit of a hike at the top. This mountain is a ski resort and they receive over 900 inches of snow a winter.
After spending some time on the mountain we were able to enjoy the hotel grounds with waterfalls / gorgeous flowers and outdoor fireplace.
We then traveled to Seward to board "Radiance of the Seas". We got familiar with the ship layout and enjoyed the evening. We set sail at 8PM for next 7 days.
"Radiance of the Seas" has 2200 passengers and 900 crew. It has a nine-story central atrium and floor to ceiling windows throughout. We know we will enjoy the Solarium with African-safari theme and cascading waterfalls. We are ready to be spoiled!
