Ok I think I walked the entire island. Yesterday I walked the interior of Venice and I loved it. Today from 9:30am to about 7pm I walked the around the edge. Boy am I tired. I went from one end of the island to the other.

Venice is beautiful but by about 4pm I got my fill. Interesting thing about Venice is that the food is all the same anywhere you go. Spagetti, calzone, the pasteries, gelatto, everything is similar. I think they ban any other type of restaurant there. After a while I was looking for a good sushi restaurant. oh well.

Also the charm of one cracked and peeling facade also started to fade on me. Now dont get me wrong Venice is wonderful but I think it is time to move on. I am thinking of Denmark and the clean modern look of its city.

I met a young Australian man today at the hostel and we were talking about how the Italian men were very much into their looks. They all had some designer wear on and a man purse or as Jerry Sienfield said a "European carryon." While the American men look so American. you know khaki shorts, solid polo, baseball cap, sandals (some with socks) sporting a gut. If they carried anything it is a backpack or thier wives purses. I said I was Canadian of course just to save face. Italian women like thier Italian men. Now I understand.
