Traveled most of the day today. Got up at at 4am to catch the first train ride out of Venezia (Venice) to Milano (Milan). Then caught a train from Milano to Basel. The train went through the Swiss Alps... oh mz God... so breathtaking. I had to pick my jaw up from the floor several times.

The grass was bright greeen. the sky was bright blue. the snow covered caps so bright white. small cottages dotted the landscapes. small villages were nestled between opposing mountains as if holding them at bay from one another. hold it i think I see Julie Andrews.... nope sorry. I will upload photos of my train ride tomorrow.

Right now as I type Im at my uncles house in Basel. His wonderful wife made us Chicken Adobo, rice, a nice salad, grapes and three types of German and Italian cheese served with a bottle of fine Tuscanz red wine. After three days of eating calzone, Italian gelato, wraps, and paninis I was ready for something homemade. Also I get to sleep in a good bed tonight versus sleeping on a train or on a bad foam mattress on a bunk bad along with about a dozen or so men.

Tomorrow I head to Zurich to meet my cousin and his family. How nice.
