We thought we'd be able to catch a ferry direct from Naxos to Samos (island next to turkey), but since not peak season yet we had to go to Syros to get the ferry.

Arrived in Syros bout 9:30pm and managed to get a room for 20 euros in the port (down from 25). Nice to be in a double bed again and the dark shutters helped us sleep in, instead of being waken up early by the sun.

Our ferry to Samos wasn't until the afternoon so spent the day having a look around the port, then chilling in a cafe drinking white wine to take advantage of the chairs and table in the shade and the complementary snacks.
