We got up early in the morning to set off on our hike from Lake Bohinj up into the Julian Alps. Since no camping was allowed in the national park we were going to stay at a mountain hut so were able to leave alot of our stuff behind at the campsite. From the lake you can see the cliffs where the hike starts and you look at them and think "how the hell does anyone get up there?". Luckily this time the bus went all the way down to the campground. Sweet campground on the lake with sites amongst the forest, and even managed to find a couple of rocks for make shift seats. After we put our tent up we headed down to the lake for a swim, which was the most amazing swim. The beach is white peebled stones and then drops off quickly into the deep deep blue, very refreshing. Next stop was to lake Bled. Very pretty lake with a church on the island in the middle. Unfortunatly the campground was on the other side of the lake from the bus station so it was a bit of a trek, but nice walk along the waters each and luckily there was alot of shade. After a long night bus from Zadar we arrived at 5am to Ljubljana in Slovenia. Found some markets that were getting set up for the day and indulged in some of the fresh goods for sale. They had heaps of fresh fruit, flowers, meats markets, cheeses, and clothes.
