First night train experience was good. We were lucky enough to get our own booth so got to get the sleeping bags out and stretch out across the seats and catch a bit of sleep (well as much as possible as every time the train stops the guard comes through and turns on your light to check your ticket).

Arrived in Belgrade in the morning. Only had a couple of hours there so after walking around in the heat with our packs we settled at a cafe for some cards and Mark enjoyed a breakfast beer.

We weren't so lucky with our next part of our train ride to Zagreb as it was so so hot and we had to share a cabin with 3 others, one of which insisted on keeping the door closed so we were swimming in our own sweat for 7 hours. It was such a relief when we finally arrived in Zagreb.
