Hola amigos! can not believe that a month has gone by but it has and we landed in Lima last night. We havent actually done much yet but we're flying to Cusco tomorrow at 6am, which means leaving the hostel at 3am... plenty of time to do some sight seeing before then! The Grand Canyon was unbelievable. When we finaly upload the photos youi'll be able to see the colours we got of it at sunrise and sunset... yes we woke up at 5am to get to one of the observation points (which involved some dodgy cliff side hiking) in time for sunrise at 6am! Andy went on the helicopter ride that took you over the canyon in the afternoon and from the look on his ace and the photos it's pretty obvious he enjoyed it. San Diego was so much fun. The people there are so laid back and friendly. But more importantñy the camp site had 2 pools and 2 jacuzzis! On the last day of the trek we went to Hollywood. We took some time walking down the "Walk of Fame" and then went to Universal Studios, which was so much fun! There was this Shrek Show where donkey sneezed on your face! Great stuff! The trip ended with a drive through Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive, which was beautiful but after 14 days of camping made me feel very ugly and poor! Was really sad saying good bye to everyone that night in L.A but emails were exchanged and alcohol was consumed, which helped the situation! We spent our last day in L.A on Venice Beach amongst the many freaks (big muscle guys on roller skates and playing guitars in nothing but y-fronts) and beautiful people and met up with 2 of the people from the trek america trip (hi Emily and Vish!). Oh and forgot to mention Chicago! Forgot to say what a wicked time we had there. Think Chicago beats New York and Washington (... but not Las Vegas!) We met 3 english lads called Tom, James and Tom and they'l be very annoyed at us if we don't mention how cool they were! We went out with them both nights we were there and had such a laugh with them. Anyway.. somehow managed to write another essay! xx
