Well we didn't tell anyone in advance, as we didn't want our parents to worry, but we've just had the most amazing time in Colombia. We spent it all in Cartagena, as we hadn't planned to include Colombia in our trip, but we heard such good reports from other travellers we decided at the last minute to check it out. Cartagena is a beautiful, relaxed, romantic walled city with great restaurants and bars and good shopping if you've got the money (we haven't!). We thoroughly enjoyed it and felt totally safe, even at night. We flew from Cartagena to Ecuador last night so don't worry Mum!!
