Day 2 Tanunda
Hi folks, I've been told it is my turn to rave on tonight. Have a look a last night's dinner. The yabbies were wonderful and I must say the bucket on the floor of the caravan to catch the shells was a brilliant idea. Not very elegant but very efficient. Today we went to only 2 wineries, Domain Day in Williamstown, just a short drive from here and Jacob's Creek.
Domain Day was very interesting and Ray found a lovely red, Saperavi, which was not one he expected to enjoy but I didn't find any whites that I liked. The tiny little village was full of beautiful old stone buildings, quite wonderful. Then on to more modern climes. Jacob's Creek Visitors Centre was very modern and very environmentally aware, right down to the solar panels and the rainwater plumbed into the toilets. We had a lovely lunch and Ray got some more red wine. We didn't do any wine tasting there but may go back if time allows. Had a lovely lazy afternoon, thanks to the lovely lunch at J.C. but hope to do 2 or 3 wineries tomorrow. Running out of time where do the holidays go?
