Woke up early as we had to bring down the tents and pack up before we made our way out of Etosha and towards Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. On our way out we saw the queen of the jungle with 2 little cubs.Sat there for ages while everyone took thousands of pictures, after which all we did was sat there while Mark drove. We finally reached Windhoek at 3pm and stayed at the backpackers called "The Cardboard Box", which is exactly the way the rooms looked. We relived our experience from Edinburgh and had our first bath with wet ones.We strolled into the city, went shopping for snacks and then entered Nandos to have a late lunch which consisted of a small plate of chips and coleslaw. The city had some influence of german architecture the people were not warm!
Got back to the backpackers and got ready for dinner. Since it was sooo hot during the day, we decided not to dress warm…Nira created a top with a kikoy and looked sexy but the weather changed dramatically and Nira had to rethink the outfit so wore the kikoy as a shawl. The first time we experienced typical desert weather throughout our time in Namibia. We went to Joe's Beerhouse for dinner where the atmosphere was amazing and so was the food. The evening drew to a close as soon as we got back to "The Cardboard Box" as it was very cold!
