Woke up tired as we didn't sleep well at all…not only cause it was hot but the ground was uneven.Got ready and had barbecued toast…tasted disgusting. Loaded our Mokoros and set off before it got too hot.We enjoyed the scenery by seeing lots of butterflies & dragonflies. We serenaded and the others apparently enjoyed it.Before we reached the other end, our pole broke so we struggled to get back to the other side.Fortunately, a person came to deliver another one and we eventually got to the other side where some had already unloaded their mokoros.
Our drive back wasn't as eventful as the drive to the Delta but nevertheless still fun.We got back to the Sitatunga campsite and gobbled down some juicy veggie burgers after which we went for the scenic flight over the delta. We went in a very tiny 5 seater plane and once again we made to sit at the back. The flight was amazing and got a better perspective as to how the Delta looked.Saw lots of animals and not to forget the humongous termite hills. Most of the town is still like a desert, just sand but there are lots of green areas near the delta that creates a home for the numerous animals !
Got back to the campsite and chilled out till dinner time which wasn't very exciting….corn on the cob, salad and pumpkin again.Tom and Ellie had organized a punch party which was entertaining to say the least.A lot of games were played including the broom one, where you turn looking up with a broom then after 10 circles you try to jump over the dropped broom but this is very difficult.Nira had the best fall by falling over a chair and into a tree but didn't manage to get hurt J.We all got awarded acacia penalties which was jokes. We had our latest night since Swakopmund till 12:30pm when we finally hit the pillows.
