We had a little sleep in this morning and then headed out to the park. We chilled at the park all day in the boiling sun. It felt like the warmest day we have had- I think it was about 34-36 degrees. Loving the heat though! We laid right next to the lake and hired a wooden mat to lay on. We played cards all day and I kicked arse for a change! We stayed until the sun wasn't far off going down and then walked to the festival market at Thapae Gate. The festival had a stage there too, but we weren't too sure what the festival was for. There were live singers and guitar players doing English, Thai and Japanese songs! Very talented!! We munched out as much as possible. We had sushi, samosa, meat sticks, a rice dish and a roti with chocolate. We are trying to get in all the food we can before we leave Thailand! We then did some shopping, well I did again! I got two lovely jump suits for £8. We are really going to miss everything been so cheap! Don't know how we will cope when the prices drastically change! We headed back home about 9pm- our last in Chiang Mai. We are sad to leave!! My favourite place on the trip so far! Everybody is just so nice and it feels really homely. Here people are just nice, not because they want anything, just because they are nice people! I will be visiting again at some point in the future!
