Morning!

After spending the last 2 nights in Courtneys lovely home with her hilarious mum Claire i really have learnt a lot! Things are sooo different here i just cant get over it! Other than the size of houses that are all crammed together, everyone just parks willy nilly all over the street in any direction they like!!! and the streets are like half the size of ours anyway, its chaos!

We went to the pub last night to meet up with Courtneys dad Chris and as we were heading out the door I asked Courtney if we could even wear thongs. Which resulted in a wierd look from Courtney a) because that would never be a problem in a small corner pub in Brighton and b) because only in Australia do we name our most common form of footwear after lingerie haha. When we got to the pub at around 8.30 the sun was still sitting high in the sky!!! Everyone was out doing things and walking places and having fun! I soooo wish people hadnt ruined daylight savings for us in Perth. Theres just such a different attitude when you get so much TIME in your day!! Something i could ways have done with more of in Perth, thats fo sho. So when we get into the most typical English pub with all regular pom blokes who all know each other and playing darts we go to take our drinks outside. I immediately hesitate because anywhere in Perth we'd be getting stopped at the door saying to leave our drinks behind! Everyone in brighton apparently gets to do whatever and park whereve they like!!!

Probably one of my favourite things I've done in Brighton is going to visit Claires Nan! She actually just could not take her eyes off me, she was facinated. Claire and Courtney warned me that she was slightly batty but really she was just adorable! She went on and on at Courtney about what lovely friends Courtney had and how bubbly i am and kept grabbing my arm and telling me how wonderful it is to meet me! After finding out Courtney has a new boyfriend she proceeded to plan the wedding and offer me the bridesmaid position, which of course i accepted. But honestly she was just so sweet and it has been so nice getting to meet all of Courtneys family in her home town!

Hopefully i will get the chance to come back to Brighton to spend more time with Courtney and her family and to see a lot more of Brighton. It has been sooo good having my junk food buddy back with me so am hoping to be back in September to reunite!
