Some of you may have seen some disturbing images from my trip here in Spiazzo and this blog here is to respond to any concerns you may have about who or what has happened to me!
Yes, the images are real of me partaking in physical activity. COSA?! Anna is my witness to these strange occurance of events. These can include: beach tennis, beach volleyball, bike riding 3 out or 3 days AND I even went for a walk along the river today. It's amazing. What is happening to me?!
Haha but in all seriously it is the amazing lifestyle here in Spiazzo that has sparked this new active self. The best way to really be active is to do it an way that is by accident, so that you don't even know your doing it! And i assure you, those bike rides did conclude with a massive bowl of icecream as a reward. So sorry to say I have not changed that much!
Since I have been here I have mostly spent my days enjoying not having to get up at 4.45 to head into Barrets and actually sleeping in for once in the past 4 years. Anna works every day 9-12 then 3-6. People here tend to have 3 hours off in the afternoons to go home and eat lunch with their families. I can definitely see an advantage, but at the same time then you spend the whole 3 hours dreading having to go BACK to work! Luckily Anna and I have those 3 hours to go around running amock :)
Mostly its eating icecream, drinking coffe (or in my case, coke), visiting friends, going to shops, and my favourite, working on my natural italian tan so that i can fit in with everyone else! In the afternoons we meet up friends down at the beach tennis court. Now don't get excited people there isnt actually a beach close by in the mountains. They construct a beach tennis or volleyball court to similate being on a beach and call it so! Little confusing but just as much fun. I definitely need to work on my hand-eye coordination skills, but then again I've never really had them... at all!
Now after dinner when it comes to the evenings after dinner, every night since i've been here we have gone out! Either to meet friends for a drink, go out for dinner, visit a bar, EVERY NIGHT! It's been so nice getting to know Anna's friends but coming from Perth it is very different! They NEVER have pre-drinks as a beer here is a standard 2.5 euro and a glass of wine 1.5!!! So instead we catch up for casual drinks which is so different to my usual hectic pre-drinks to try to consume enough so I don't have to buy ANY while I'm out!
Even though things are a lot smaller and chilled here, the drama still continues. I now have a very SPECIAL addition to my travel blog as i introduce my amazing and beautiful host Anna to contribute to my blog to tell her first hand story of the DRAMA at the bar Saturday night:

hi everybody! it's Anna writing! I don't want Ray to correct my post because I don't want to show english skills, which I don't really have! sooo.... forgive me in advance for being such a terrible writer! We're spending the best time I've ever had here...and I don't really want my wingwoman to go away from here! so, I'm so sorry but I'll take her Rachel for a long time! We'll be back together in order to make me becoming a perfect Aussie!!! And then I think that I won't come back to Italy! so many things have happened (sorry I just asked Rachel to correct this verb tense). Ray has the funniest Italian pronunciation I've ever heard but this is one of the various things that makes her so special (ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh sooo romantic). She's really good in learning new Italian words and she continues to practice her Italian skills every day!! forza Rachel!!!! I'm so proud of making her become an athlete... you won't recognize her because of her future muscles (muscles?????) and not because she gained weight!!!!!!!! until yet, we had so many adventures... car accidents, witnesses of a homicide, we stole money from the local bank... ahhahahhaa don't worry Linda I'm joking!!!!!!! So many things to say... maybe I'll explain you in the next post!!! I want to spend some more words about fabulous Rachel!!!! ahahhaha... you have to see her while playing volleyball.. she's improving matches by matches! she's incredible... she continues to dive into sand like a professional player and I'm not lying!!! David you'll be also proud of her riding bicycle here around.. yesterday we went on a really difficult way, over stones and grass and she was really amazing!!!! she kills it...let me say that!!! sooo...I got a new sister!! so happyyyy!!!! this is my first and last romantic post... don't worry!!! see you in the next one... I'll explain you Ray's Italian adventures in details! ciaaaaaooooooooooooo
Haha that was probably the BEST way I could possible give you guys an idea of how my life is and the crazy person I am spending this whole month with! But I love her and her family who have done the best job of taking me in off the streets J Don't know where I would be without them!
Well now I have to be off to sleep in preparation for my tour of Valle di Non where my Nonna came from! I am dreading it sooo much after the chaos of last weeks tour. So watch this space for news that I have survived!
Ciao xx
P.S. Oh my gosh! I nearly forgot one of the best things I have been doing in my spare time! Today I spent 3 solid hours tutoring a GORGEOUS Italian man for his English exam on Thursday! Thats right, I'm using my teaching degree as an excuse to spend excessive amounts of time with attractive Italian men which pretty much requires them to sit and make conversation with me in English. Oh how I love my amazing life :)
