The time had come to spend our LAST DAY IN DISNEYLAND! How did that happen so fast?! We were excited to get in and make sure we had checked off everything we wanted to do- still yet to sight any of the characters to have photos with! We were hoping that after the busy weekend that Monday would be a better day to go on rides like it was on Friday. This did not happen to be the case. Don't people have work to go to?! GOSH. Leave the park to us holidaying bums! haha SO unfortunately we had to share our last day thousands of others and try to get around to as much as possible.
We first set our sights on Crushes Coaster, inspired by the east Australian current seen in the hit movie Finding Nemo! The wait was on an hour (yes an hour) so we committed to long line. Which game Courtney a chance to text Chris and me a chance to hit up some fast draft blog entries. Win. I'll tell you what Courtney and I WONT be missing. People finding the urge to MAKE OUT while in the hour long line cramped up with everyone else. I mean really? Is it necessary?! Surely they could find something more productive to do than reduce someone to frequent gagging. A blog... someone they could text?! But seriously. EVERY line we could spot the two people who had decided it would be romantic to come here and spoil all our g-rated fun. One couple we saw seriously could not have been more than 13!!! We were like you should not be doing that!!! Seriously sucking face. Horrible.
We then made our way to track down some of the Characters. To our disappointment the line to Micky was over 40 mins and the line to the princesses was over 70! And needless to say it was filled with under 5s. We were really hoping to make it look like we had just stumbled upon them and been forced into a photo then going searching for them which really IS what I was doing. So we resided in the fact that we would not have the chance to get the photos I so desired and dragged our feet to our next destination. We took a shortcut round the back to the front of the disney park and when we looked up, there standing in front of us was Minnie, Donald Duck and Pinocchio!!!!! JACKPOT!!! And better yet no crowds or an hour long wait! We pounced on our chance and got our photo ops :) SUCCESS FOR THE DAY!
With a bit of time to spare we made our way to watch the Tarzan show. This was a cool show of acrobatics with 'vines' and trampolines and swinging bars. It was really cool! There were acrobats dressed as monkeys doing cool tricks in the air and dancing! We were really impressed and glad we decided to go along to some of the shows that we on offer. We definitely were not disappointed.
By FAR the highlight of my Disneyland trip was the PARADE! An amazing to way to end our magical experience by seeing a huge parade. Thousands of people lined the streets of the main street of Disneyland, getting on high ground where possible to get the best view of their favourite characters. Courtney and I parked ourselves on a slope of grass awaiting the magic to begin :) we were NOT disappointed. With a typically FAB disney song (which ALL the characters knew all the words to and sung the whole song along to) accompanying the vast array of characters they all waved and sung to the massive crowd! The floats were incredibly elaborate and the characters just looked like they had stepped out of the screen! Honestly they just go so all out in disneyland, not missing a single detail! I'm really gonna miss being in a place just so joyful and amazing. No where else is it actually like being in a fairy tale.
So we said our goodbyes and went home to spend our last night in our hotel- the last time we will be kept up at night by feral kids running down hallways (where the HELL were their parents)- and pack to be heading on from this dream world :)

Linda It makes you so OLD to be scoffing at mating couples. Last night I showed Isabella your photo additions with the parade and all the characters. She loved it. Even she didn't know who that creature dressed as a monk was. Who WAS that!!??
rachelmartino I knoooow! Courtney and I felt really bad that we didn't know who he was but didn't want to leave him out! It's a mystery...
