We carried on to Carnarvon where we had hoped to find work. To our surprise there was no fruit picking work and nothing in the few bars and restaurants. We stayed the night and had a good look around the town before heading on to Coral Bay and the Ningaloo reef.
Coral Bay revolves around the reef and everything is geared towards snorkelling and diving. We had planned to go on a half day snorkel cruise of the reef but the weather was too bad so we went on a glass bottom boat instead. The reef is different to other reefs as it is not brightly coloured and is on the western side. We saw some amazing fish and coral, our favourite were the bright, multi-coloured parrot fish. There were hundreds of different fish right up to the shallow waters of the shore.
