Hello all, final journal entry from Australia :( very very sad to leave, I will definitely have to come back here and explore some more! Our flight to Singapore leaves at 1pm today, although we only discovered yesterday that we actually travel to Darwin first and then get a transfer! Hopefully will find an internet place in Singapore.. until then, hope everyone is ok  Rach x

whoy, hope all is well!? thought i d give a quickie to say how we gettin on in cairns. we ve pretty much explored the city now and the free pools and harbour. its pretty to stay so close to the sea front. i ve been ill with a flu/cold/allergy (i dunno) a bit over last few days so we've moved to a quieter more expensive hostel but its nice...expect that ive had 5 of my tops nicked..right from near by my bed! at least that has solved the problem of not being ab...

Hello! We've been in Cairns for almost a week now, and are not moving on until monday. It's nice here, very relaxed, and we are spending a lot of time by the big outdoor pool called the Lagoon. Only downside really is that it's very windy here! but also nice and hot. Food is great, we're finding a lot of nice little cafes which sell great cakes. I'm (rachel) going on a glass bottom boat tomorrow to see the reef, I think it also includes a tour of Green Island. ...

Hello everyone, Just arrived at Airlie Beach in the Whitsundays, we have about 2 hours in town before we catch a ferry to Long Island and stay there for 3 nights. Should be fun! Lots has happened this week, whale watching in Byron Bay was amazing, we saw about 6 whales including a little-un with mum, and the speed boat was such good fun! Got very wet though.
