Rachel and Hannah's Travels
Crashed into Sydney at 7am in high winds. Went through Immigration, and began to queue for Passport Controls. We had only been in the queue half an hour when an immigration officer pulled us and our luggage over! Hannah thought it was the contraband chocolate bar she had smuggled into Australia... but no, it was Rachel's passport! We were kept waiting for a few minutes, while people ran off with our passports!! After a while, a cheery aussie Nottingham Forrest fan turned up with the passports, said 'eh up duck!!' (after reading Nottingham on the passports) and said the problem had been sorted and we were fast-tracked through the remaining hour queue!! Bargain.
The wind in Sydney is incredible, far too blowy, and far too cold!!! Very different experience from 32 C in Tokyo. Bit wet too... we are hoping for better weather after returning from Uluru.
Two tired windswept travellers signing off.
