After paying an arm and a leg yesterday for a bus into the city, this morning we decided to walk. It took about 45 minutes but it wasn't too hot so it was nice and easy. We walked up to the Opera House and took some pictures. The building needs some major refurbishment but as this will cost millions, the government in Sydney wont pay for it to be done. So as a consequence, it looking more and more tired each year.
We then walked around the Botanical Gardens, by this stage the weather had become very cloudy and windy and Rachael, dressed for summer was freezing for the rest of the afternoon. To escape the cold we found a food court and had some lunch, to Rachaels disappointment, it was still bloody cold when we went back outside. With Rachael still moaning she was"freezing" we walked over the Harbour Bridge and then went for a few beers before catching the bus back to the hostel as it was now raining and Rachael was complaining of hypothermia!
