Got up ready to be picked up at 9.45am to go to the airport for my flight to Maui. I said goodbye to everyone. I had had a really great time in Oahu and met some really nice people. I will be returning to Waikiki on Monday for 1 night before I fly to Auckland, New Zealand as I can't fly out of Maui. One of the hardest things about travelling is that you meet so many great people in each place you visit and then have to say goodbye to them knowing that you probably won't ever see them again. Kat is flying to Maui today as well but with a different airline and staying in a different place to me. We are going to try and meet up again but might be a bit difficult depending on how far away we both are from each other. I am flying to Maui with Go Airlines who are a budget carrier. The flight only took 25 minutes. I had to get a taxi to my hostel as none of the shuttles seem to go there. I am staying at Banana Bungalow in Wailuku for 5 nights. I am in a 4 bed dorm but there is only 1 other girl in the room so far. The hostel offers free tours everyday which covers the whole of the island if you do all of them. The tours on Friday and Sunday took my interest so I will sign up for them. The hostel isn't situated close to much so everything is a bus journey away. There are a few buses that are free and the others are $1 each. In the evening there was a party happening in the lounge area.
