Got up ready for breakfast. I am in a 12 bed dorm and its now full as more people arrived last night so there is quite a fight for the bathroom in the morning lol. I am the only english person in the dorm but its nice to mix in with people from other countries. Most of them seem to be only travelling for 3 months max and seem quite surprised when I say that I am travelling around for 8 months. The hostel offers a free breakfast every morning which consists of coffee or tea and pancakes with syrub. Got chatting to 2 girls from the UK who have been travelling around America and working for 3 months. They are off to New York soon and then back to the UK. After breakfast I had a look on the hostel noticeboard to see what tours and activities were on offer. There is loads going on in the hostel during the day and night so you can never be bored here. I noticed they were offering a day trip to Key West on Sunday so I prebooked this at the reception. This is a tour that I had seen on the internet before I left the UK so glad that they still had spaces left on it. I went down to the beach for the morning. Its part sunny and cloudy today but still very hot. Lucky I bought a high factor suncream with me. In the afternoon I walked down the streets of Miami South Beach. There are loads of blocks to each street and still trying to master crossing the road as even when it shows that its ok to cross, cars are still moving. Walked around the Art Deco District and found where Miami Ink was after asking several people. The famous tattoo place that you see on the TV and I was standing right outside it lol. Didn't go in just incase they persuaded me to get a second tattoo. I can imagine prices are very expensive. In the evening I signed up for the poker night. You had to pay a certain amount to play and we had pizza and beer during the game. No blue WKD lol. There was 10 of us playing and there was 1 guy who came from Brighton and 2 other guys who came from Southampton. What a small world. I happened to lose poker but it was still a good night. The winner took away $100.
