I left the flat at 5am to head to Heathrow airport for my British Airways flight out to Miami at 9.40am. Mum came to pick me and Dad up and she had my brother Tim in the car with her. Mum made a joke before coming to pick us up that the car wouldn't start. Not the day to be cracking jokes about things like that. I was surprised we actually made it to Heathrow as the car didn't sound very healthy but arrived in plenty of time. I had already checked in online so I just had to drop the bag off at the check in area. We all went for a coffee and some breakfast as it was still very early in the morning. I needed to try and wake myself up as I didn't sleep well the night before. I was so excited and had butterflies in my stomach. After breakfast I went through security after saying goodbye to the family. No one cried though I did have a tear in my eye lol. I headed straight to the gate and before I knew it we were boarding the plane. The flight went quite quick I thought. I watched some films and fell asleep lol. I arrived in Miami around 3.40pm and got a shuttle to the hostel Jazz on South Beach. I checked in and I am in a 12 bed dorm room with two other girls and two blokes. They come from Turkey and Russia and seem really nice and friendly. After getting settled I went for a walk to get my bearings of where everything was. It was very hot around 36 degrees. Miami is definitely a great place to visit and I know I will definitely enjoy my stay here.
