Yesterday we had our travel day! We left karimata a few days ago on a 40hr crossing to get us to south Kalimantan. The sea was incredibly flat and the jaya gained speed through the first night (from 7knots to 9knots) so we smashed our time at got in 15 hours early!

During the day we all slept, played rummykin, cards, read a lot ad just hung out. It was a rest day, Well spent!

So this morning we woke up to a busting little port town called taluk Kumai which is situated on the southern coast of borneo, Indonesia. The plan is to head into town and restock on snacks, phone credit, use the Internet and do the touristy thing if u like. Then around lunch we are bringing our backpacks, jumping on another boat and heading up the river with a guide to tanjung puting, a orangutan rehabilitation center. There we will watch and feed the little dudes. Then camp on a raft, under mozzie net, in the middle of the jungle for the night. Sounds all good on paper! Can't wait to see how it goes!
