Singapore is wicked! Really liked the place. Two nights we went to Clarke Quay which is really cool, i think its the pic above, which is where the are loads of pubs & restaurants and a shopping mall. Sinagpore is so clean and is also a really safe place. We stayed in a hostel in india town which is the dirtiest part of singapore but was by far the tidiest india town we've been to. Again singapore for shopping is good but a bit more pricey then KL, Orchard road is the best place, its really wicked as there are trees running all the way down the road. The underground network is so easy, clean and cheap and is what we used to get around all the time. We went to Sentosa Island, is a bit of a tourist attraction but was still good. Sea water isn't too nice though as there are so many boats in the harbour and construction going on, and i think we are too used to crystal clear water. We also went wakeboarding, which i'm god awful at, i think in a 2 hr period the longest i stayed on the board was about 20m or so.
Our last night in singapore we did a night safari, which involved being taken around in a tram like transport thingy majig and seeing lions, tigers, leopards, giraffs - it was really good fun as a group of 8 oof us from our hostel did it so we had a good laugh aswell. We were running a bit late for the plane so we had to run from our hostel to the underground & between platforms which considering it was 80-90% humidity with big bags on our bags wasn't tooo bad.
Flying into CAirns we immediately noticed the lack of humidity, although it is warm we don't really notice unless we're out of the breeze. After 3 days in Cairns we went to Cape Trib which was good although we missed our bus up there as we were out the night before so we had to get another one. Snorkelled on the reef, saw the most pristine coral yet and loads of sting rays and other weird and wonderful creatures. The snorkelling trip was our first encounter with 'health & safety' we were pep talked all the time, and we thought its only blummin snorkelling! They are terrified of being sued, health & safety has no direct translation into any asian language. We did a night walk but didn't see much other then a carpet python snake - in 2 hours! On the way back we did a ferry cruise and went croc spotting, saw two as in the pics. Also stopped by in Port Douglas for a while. Took the Captain Cook Highway which is very asthetically pleasing!
