Getting off the bus from the Cameron Highlands in KL we instantly noticced the heat and humidity, which we hadn't really had for the days before that. We found ahostel and happened to meet Rachel & Cerys on the street who we travelled to Penang with. We stayed in china town and ate round there the frist night. The other days we were there we shopped in the numerous shopping malls some of which had 10 floors and werre really cheap. The third day we were there we got to the Petronas Towers for 7.30 in the morning to queue for tickets to go to the skybridge. We got there early when we didnt really need to but this gave us time to go up and then do the Battu caves before lunch. The Battu caves were really big with a massive staue out the front and loads of monkeys around. The next day we went to a shopping mall which ahad an indoor theme park in itwhich was really good fun! We also did the tower at sun set and got a vgood view of the city as all the lights were coming on. Also there were a good view of the Petronas towers from up there.
Shopping in KL is amazing, and i don't usually like shopping but there is about 4 streets in chinatown in a cross shape each with two rows of market stalls on them, waliking down the road you have about a metre either side of you and you are constantly being hassled and harrassed but its really good fun as you can bargain hard! if you're good enough you can get the market people down a good 50% but you have to know what you're doing, walking away at strategic moments of negiotation always works. Such good fun aswell.
Next stop was Tioman, here we didn't really do much, just lay on the beach for three days. We stayed up until about 4.30 one night to watch the arsenal v l'pool champions league tie, and we saw a 2m long monitor lizard which was cool!
