HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!

Hope you all had a good one and a great Christmas!

It has been strange for us, so far away from home and in such a warm climate but we've embraced the experience and had a great time. (Missed you all though!)

On Christmas eve we had a traditional home cooked Christmas dinner and then went to an English style pub to meet some friends (it was like been back ay home!).

Christmas day we went to friends of James and Laura's and had a seafood BBQ and played games and drank in the sunshine.

New years Eve was what we'd really been looking forward to and the day didn't dissapoint. Laura and James are in Singapore, so me James and Stu and John (2 great guys from Newcastle we had met) went to the botanical gardens for a good spot of the Harbour bridge to watch one of the most famous firework displays in the world.

Although to get this spot of course we had to queue for 3 hours starting at 9am with 20,000 other people! It was all worthi it and we relaxed all day in the park with a BBQ and picnic until the fireworks started. There was a small display at 9pm and then the big one at midnight! It was fabulous and I'm so glad we were there to see it.
