Its been a while since we updated the blog so heres a catch up of what we've been up to...
Me and James have had a ball in Sydney these past few months. Met some wonderful people and speant lots of time at the beach and in the city.
We've had some great camping trips. Ulladulla was amazing, camping in the Australian bush! The beaches there were deserted and so beautiful, we did a lot of swimming and body surfing. At night we could see the Milky Way and we couldn't believe how many stars there was up there!!
My Aunty and Uncle came to visit my cousin for a few weeks so we had a great time with them and they really loved Australia!
Spent the past few weeks with Kate and Chris who were in Sydney for a while. Had such a good time with them round the city and camping in the Blue Mounains. (so beautiful! We went to see an amazing waterfall there which took about an hour to climb down to the bottom but truely worth every step!) In the end we decided to rent a camper van for a few weeks and travel the South Coast with them!
Our road trip started on The Great Ocean Road. What a beautiul place! And a great road to live on, the views are stunning. We went to the famous Bells Beach (where Pont Break was filmed). We passed some really cute seaside villiages and saw Australian wildlife - Koalas, Kangaroos, Possoms and Lizards.
Our travels also took us to the Grampians National Park, Mount Gambier which has huge lakes formed in old volcano craters, Cape Bridgewater where we saw a pod of dolphins in the sea and a colony of fur seals, Wilson's Prom National Park and The Snowy Mountains - where we climbed the tallest mountain in Australia!! Woo hoo!! The drive through the Snowy mountains was an experience we won't forget!! We had to drive on a winding dirt track which was on a cliff edge! we had kangaroos, deers and wild horses jumping out in fron of us all the way!! EEk!
We also spent a day in Melbourne. A beautful city - we were lucky because we where there at the same time as the Grand Prix! We could hear them wizzing around the track early afternoon when we where having our picnic in the botanical gardens and after a walk round the city we went to Federation Square and watched the race on a big screen.
And so after a wonderful past few weeks, we're back in Sydney, it's our last week here and we're a bit sad to leave and say goodbye to so many friends - but also excited to start our travels up the East Coast of Austrlalia!!
Speak soon!
