I've finished at Eurostar!
I had my final jabs yesterday morning for travelling, which were my third Rabies jab and my Yellow Fever one. I was glad I'd chosen to bake my cupcakes for work on Wednesday night because the jabs didn't make me feel too good.
The cupcakes were all sparkly (see pic) and everyone at work really liked them which is a bonus!
I started to feel a bit groggy at work yesterday but I stuck it out and came home to snuggle with a hot water bottle, and then got up early and went in for my last day this morning at 8am. I felt a bit sick when I got up, then started to feel all achey and fluey and got a temperature and ended up leaving work early on my last day! They gave me a card which was really sweet, and my Dad pointed out it says 'You're a Star' on the front, which sounds like Eurostar...I'm not sure if they did that on purpose or not but it made me laugh anyway. The messages in it from everyone were really sweet as well.
So anyway I left work at 10.30am and have spent the whole afternoon on the sofa in Ed's trackies. He made me some soup and put some soluble co-codamol (my favourite painkiller ever since I had my tonsils out) in some squash for me, and I do feel a bit better now. I should probably stay in and rest but I have made plans to go for Mexican food, cocktails and dancing with my girls tonight, and it will be the last chance we get to do this for a long time so I am going power through. I'll probably have to deal with the consequences of my actions in the morning, however there's not much time to moan as I'm going for dinner tomorrow as well. Hopefully the mini Yellow Fever and Rabies will have left me by then.
The casting director from Disney called me on Wednesday to check that I've booked my travel (he asked if I knew about Eurostar, which was funny). I was a bit worried that he had called to say he'd made a mistake and there wasn't actually a contract for me at all, but everything is fine and I'm still going. At this particular moment in time I just want to stay at home and watch Christmas films, but that is only because it's raining and I'm ill, I'm sure come Thursday I'll be ridiculously excited!
Anyway, not long left until my blog goes from very boring to slightly interesting! 6 days in fact!
