Hello! Welcome to my first blog entry...it's not going to be very exciting because I haven't actually left the country yet, but it is all starting to feel a bit real now. I was inspired to keep a blog when I stumbled upon another blog on here who is also working at Disneyland. Her page is http://www.offexploring.com/poisonapples and it's really interesting because she talks about the day to day goings on for an employee in the character and parades department at DLP. I've been a bit unoriginal starting a blog on the same site as her but as they say, imitation is the best form of flattery, or something like that. As most of you know, I am currently working at Eurostar, which seems to link very seamlessly into a job at DLP. A lovely lady at work called Jean has offered to let me use one of her 'pals' bookings to get to France, as I can't get any discounts at Eurostar because I'm a temp. I started to look into booking my travel there today, I think Ed and I are going to get the Eurostar to Paris Nord on Thursday 18th, and spend a lovely day and evening in Paris. The next day we'll get the RER into Marne la Vallee and have some lunch in the Disney Village, before I have to meet my future employers at Marne La Vallee at 1.30pm, when hopefully the fun starts. My friend Naomi, who I went to school with but also works at Eurostar, said she made a booking for a girl today who is starting at DLP on the same day as me which is quite exciting. I have done some Facebook stalking but so far have been unable to find her! Maybe I shouldn't admit that. Anyway...the build up has begun. I doubt my entries will be too frequent over the next couple of weeks because it is unlikely that any of you are particularly interested in the day to day workings of the Eurostar Traveller Care department, but watch this space!
