Our final day in the bay!

The weather was worse than yesterday, so after we checked out at 10am we read for a bit, before walking to the cinema to see what was on. We chose a film at 1.30pm and bought some lunch in Woolworths before heading back to the hostel to read and eat. I got a drunken phonecall from my mum and godmother which was funny. They are going to Thailand on holiday soon and were telling me how they are going to go a full moon party!

At 1pm we went to Woolworths to get some popcorn and hid it in our bags to go in the cinema. Cinema tickets are $15 but we decided to treat ourselves. We watched The Adjustment Bureau with Matt Damon and Emily Blunt, it was weird but quite good.

After the cinema we walked back to the hostel, still with 6 hours to kill, and sat in the TV room. We started watching a girly film that was on the TV, then some guys came in and put on Blade. We had nothing better to do so we watched it. I have never seen such a terrible film. I won't bother trying to explain it other than vampires, fighting, guns. I don't think one person smiled in the whole film. Yawn.

After Blade we went to town in search of food. I was naughty and had a pizza, but only a kids one so it was tiny.

When we got back we found some of the people we had met and said goodbye. Some of them had been to the hippy town of Nimbin to buy weed and mushrooms today. We didn't go as it is like $25 to get there and apparently although it markets itself as a cool hippy town, it's really just a place to buy drugs where the police turn a blind eye. We aren't interested in such pursuits of course!

Finally, at 9pm it was time to get the Greyhound. We've just left Byron Bay and are heading to Newcastle now. I had such a good time in Byron, I'm so sad to leave!
