As per usual we got up and made our way to the beach to commence sunbathing.
After a couple of hours Hannah went off to hire a surfboard, as she has had surfing lessons in Cornwall before. I decided against joining in at first, because I figured I would spend most of the time falling off and getting a nose full of salt water. After a while though I decided to go and join the other two and see how they were getting on, and Hannah persuaded me to have a go.
I dragged the board out to sea, waited for a big wave, and used it as a bodyboard. It was really fun, so I decided on my second go to actually try and stand up, and I managed to do it! I ended up having a quite a few goes, and nearly every time I managed to stay on! I was so pleased with myself as I never thought I'd be able to surf - Hannah took some pics which we'll put up when we can.
After surfing I sunbathed for a little while more before heading back to shower. We decided to walk to the lighthouse for sunset, it was over two kilometres, mainly uphill in the heat, which was hard. Luckily the views were amazing. On the way up we stopped at Australia's most easterly point which was cool.
When we made it to the lighthouse we had to wait about half an hour for the sun to set, but after it had gone down the sky and clouds went an amazing shade of orangey pink. Unfortunately my camera isn't very good, but I tried to get some good pictures!
Back at the hostel we had some pasta for dinner and got ready to go out. I didn't want to drink much as we are going out for Hannah's birthday this weekend and I want to save money/my liver. I had a couple of drinks and a dance, but came home at around 1am. At least I won't be hungover!
