We had a nice long lie in and got up at 11ish. It had been raining and the temperature had dropped a few degrees so we didn't really have the beach as an option.
Instead we spent the day doing nothing, just reading really. We did some laundry as well, but that's not very interesting. At one point Vicky and Hannah went to Woolworths or something, so I went to a bakery and bought Hannah a birthday cake and got back just in time to hide it under my bed. We went for a walk to decide on the restaurant for the evening, and had a look in the little boutiquey shops. In one of them we saw a lovely little burnt orange colour playsuit for $40, which we all tried on. It looked really nice on Vicky and she hasn't got many clothes with her, so Hannah and I successfully persuaded her to buy it!
We got ready quite early. Hannah had splashed out on a small bottle of Smirnoff (not 70cl, the smaller flat ones which are about £8 at home)....$27 here!! Vicky and I stuck to the goon and we all had a drink before heading out to dinner for Hannah's birthday - it was so nice to be cooked for.
We got back to the hostel just before 8.30pm, when 'Earth Hour' began. They turned the lights and music off for an hour for the environment or something. It defeated the object really because people were obviously in their rooms trying to get ready, so they plugged their laptops in to use the lights from the screen, which probably uses more energy than a light bulb. Nice idea though.
During Earth Hour we surprised Hannah with her birthday cake, she hadn't suspected anything despite Vicky and I lingering in the room suspiciously.
After playing drinking games and chatting for a few hours, we headed out to Cheeky Monkeys. It was really, really busy but we had a really good night and didn't leave until closing time. I was shattered from dancing but the other two headed to the beach for a 4am swim in their underwear - wild girls!
Brilliant night though bringing in Hannah's 22nd year!
