The mums and the 2 teenage girls did the bread knife walk to day. It was a beautiful walk and great to have a morning to ourselves. The dads took the kids to the observatory which was a big hit as well. In the afternoon we did a trip into Coonabarabran which is a nice, old country town. As we were putting the kids to bed the weather started to turn and a storm blew in - ahhhh yes we are back in NSW!

Another beautiful day in the Warrumbungles. Geoff, Dave, Amanda and Charles did the "breadknife" walk. We took the kids on a very short walk and then down to the creek to play. Dinner was a roast done in the camp oven in the coals of the fire.

The kids are loving catching up with their friends. There are 11 kids here - 9 girls and 2 boys so they aren't bothering us at all. We went on a 6.5 km walk with them all which took us to a great lookout over the bread knife (a vertical volcanic rock formation) and the national park. It was hot today (around 28 degrees) but the nights are freezing.

We had a yummy fry up breakfast with Karen and Dan and Brooke and Charlie (our friends from Willoughby that we ran into in the caravan park loos!). Then they headed off to White Cliffs while we went in the opposite direction. We drove to Nyngan where we had lunch and then took back roads to the Warrumbungle national park. We drove past lots of cotton farms and processing plants and finally into the Warrumbungles. Here we met up with Megan and her girls, Dave Merr...
