Day 90 25th feb
Well.. we've had a good nights sleep and we are off for breakfast... We try the wifi in our hotel restaurant area but it's not working so we are off, we walk to a place we never actually managed to eat in last time we were here... Every time we arrived before we got told No ! and guess what... Exactly the same... Won't happen again !!
We walk two doors down the alleyway and stop into a nice open fronted restaurant made largely from bamboo and palm leaf where we enjoy a fruit and musli breakfast... With working wifi and some fantastic fresh orange juice !!
From here we head towards an area if town we've been to before.... The area is full of street stalls and we have held off buying ourselves anything until we return here so now we are out to shop !
We've unfortunately discovered that a new purse we'd bought in Kuala Lumpa for Shiree that we'd been keeping in a "souvenirs" rucksack is missing... Along with some perfume from Shiree's wash bag so another purse is definitely on the cards too...
After a couple of roads of street stalls I've lost interest in shopping and my attention has now moved onto capturing TukTuks on the move using the "moving image" option on the camera, but this proves much harder than it if in Vietnam, so I leave Shiree to shop whilst a photo almost every Tuk Tuk that passes with a photo successes rate of maybe 1 in every 30 photos....
We find ourselves a nice little place to eat in a quiet little street near the hotel and have some dinner.... Before Shiree's eye casts a longing view on a foot massage board and before I know it her flip flops are off and her feet are getting oiled up for a half hour foot massage whilst a sit back and what the world go by.... From here we spend some time around the hotel before heading out for a late dinner in an Indian that directly opposite the Kho San road before walking the streets again looking for things to buy... I've found a few T shirts a like but I've got my eye on a few more and Shiree's got her sights firmly set on a shop that sells lights !! She likes them !!
Right at the end if the night we take a short walk to try locate a leather shop we'd visited when we were last here with the hope of finding a nice purse for Shiree... Trying to find a shop you've previously been to in Bangkok is not as easy as you'd imagine as the stalls that operate on the pavement outside changes by the day so we go late at night and we have success..... We find the shop !!
So back to bed now...
