So we have been here a week already and it's flew. We spent the first week at a bach (kiwi term for beach house) on Ocean beach, fantastic place where we will be spending xmas day! We have met some nice people and had a great barbeque at geordie Daves house which looks over his own private little bay! Oh yeah n the food was fantastic too! We went to a place called Goat island for the day as the snorkelling is supposed to be fantastic, i'll take their word for it, aint no way i was getting in it was bloody freezing! We took the glass bottom boat instead. We have also been to see some glow worms at Waiomio caves they were great so we will deffo be going down to Waitomo caves as they are supposed to be even better, but bet none of you can say your uncle has glow worms in his back garden like mine has! We also took a little trek out to Whangarei falls through some nice bush with huge Kauri trees, however once at the falls the heavens opened! Typical, just like bloody British weather ha ha oh and my rain coat decided not to work so i got drenched on the way back! Never mind it was good fun and makes a good story! Tommorrow i'm going to see about going scuba diving at Poor Knights Islands, and matt, Bungy and the lads are going sky diving! We are also gonna go swimming off the Bay of islands with dolphins and whales! I'll update soon guys, take care Love and Peace Ellise xxx p.s.
