It was a work day today, I got the most out of having my hotel room until 12pm and had a much needed sleep in. Won't be anymore of those for a while.
I then went and nested myself in at Starbucks, to do the mountains of work I had piling up, due to the fact that Hotel Europa doesn't have in room WiFi. I spent over four hours in Starbucks, before grabbing a Bavarian sausage sandwich for lunch, which was amazing and heading back to the train station to attempt to get yet more tickets.
I got to the station with my print out from Czech rail showing me all the train times, only to bed told they didn't sell that sector. Why they would give me a print out of train times for a sector they don't sell is beyond me. Lets put it down to one of the great unexplained mysteries of the road. Yes, I like the sound of that. I asked where I could buy the sector and they pointed me in the direction of the DB office, which is closed on Saturdays. So no tickets for me today. Have to work something else out.
I went back to the hotel and continued with my work in one of the common areas, where there is internet. Well….I say continued with my work, but mostly I had finished my work so I chatted to a mate on Facebook and watched youtube clips of Red Dwarf.
I went out to hunt up some dinner and ran into Catherine and convinced her to try some of the street food. She had the Bavarian sausage on a roll and I had a chicken cutlet on a roll. We then went and sat in Starbucks for a while to kill some time, before meeting up with the other passengers back at the hotel and heading off for the station.
Our train arrived about 10 minutes after we did, it had come all the way through Belarus, from Moscow! I herded my three passengers onto the train and got them settled in their cabin. To my absolute delight I had my cabin all to myself, it had three bunks and I positioned myself on the middle bunk in front of the window, turned off all the lights, laid down, put on my ipod and sat there for about an hour just blissfully watching the world go by, before settling into the bottom bunk for a very jerky nights sleep.
