Waking up to a perfect blue cloudy sky, gentle sea breeze and mid 20 degree temperature..it couldn't get any better. We depart Beaulieu-sur-Mer today early in the morning, bound for Cinque Terre, on the Italian Riviera coast. Cinque Terre is a literal translation to: "5 villages", which are villages where farmers have, over many generations, cultivated crops - fruit, veg and vineyards, on steep cliffsides on fertile soil. We departed Aix at 11am towards the direction of Nice. We are staying at Beaulieu-sur-Mer tonight, about 10km away from Nice, on the Cote d'Azur. We made stops at Cannes for lunch, and Antibes before we arrived at Nice. Cannes was very posh, had a casino and all the luxury brands and nice cars on the main promenade. Seemed classier than Nice.
