Hello & thanks for all the emails! Yesterday we went back to Serangan Island surfing again... Well Haz did anyway as it was 6-8ft mad waves that just didn't do it for me. It was great to watch though - and went again this morning. Great surfing spot, but again a little too big for me! I had a great time all the same though cos yesterday a French girl named Stephanie was also too scared to go out so while Haz and her husband were surfing those crazy waves, we went snorkelling, she taught me some French and I taught her some English - we had a ball! Today, some Australian guys who we had met there a week earlier hung out with me cos they were waiting for the tide to come in a bit so we had some fun laughing at some Japanese cyclists who were wearing fluro pink bike tights with ESPRIT plastered down the side of them... Did I mention these Japanese cyclists were MEN?! Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't ESPRIT only a WOMEN's brand??? Hahahaaaaaa!! I thought I might have been getting a cold sore yesterday so I thought I'd go looking for a chemist who sold vitamins so I could get myself some more LYSINE tablets as I am running low and we walked into this place that looked kinda sketchy and firstly he tried to sell me 400mg drugs for Genital Herpes - I said, not thanks, I just want something herbal like a multi-vitaman, but not drug-like. And after that, he asked if I wanted something 'herbal' that will 'keep me awake for partying' and handed over a carton (not just a small dose, I'm talking about 200 tablets) of Ephedrine tablets (y'know the stuff that's illegal in Australia and forbidden in international sporting events)!! I couldn't believe my eyes! And then he says 'good price for you in bulk'. Arrghhhh! Now I thought I'd get a definition from the internet of what Ephedrine is and here goes... Ephedrine alkaloids are amphetamine-like compounds used in OTC and prescription drugs with potentially lethal stimulant effects on the central nervous system and heart. So, as you can imagine I said 'mate, they are illegal in our country - no thanks', freaked out and ran out! Harry & I couldn't believe it! I thought I was being set up! I was waiting for undercover police to run out and arrest me! Classic... Anyway, tonight we are going to watch the Soccer with some pommy guys and that nice Canadian woman who is travelling alone over dinner and drinks at our local restaruant - Haz is very excited as it is Liverpool (his fave team) playing Manchester Unitied (yeah Chadwick) - should be a good night!
