Today started off shambolockly and ended pretty well, first off all I had a pretty crappy nights sleep due to what I presumed 90% was a homeless guy sleeping in the bunk above me, he was fully clothed, looked horrendous and smelt bad, I feared not only for my possessions but my personal health and hygiene too! So when I got up I immediately moved all my stuff out of the room and in to the hallway and packed it, I put my bags in the lounge and had a bite to eat, I was about to go and check into the sister hostel as the one I was currently in was fully booked so I thought I'd phone ahead to reconfirm my booking, shockingly I wasn't in the system... These guys are freaking useless, what's worse is they just didn't even care that they completely screwed me over with accommodation. I was fed up with this dive of a place anyway so hopped online and found another hostel, gave the owner a call and said I'd be straight over, looked up the directions and walked to the bus stop, typically as I'm half a block from the bus stop it just pulling away... Mare. But I did get talking to nice Yank at the stop which passed a bit of time, I got on the next bus and after a short journey got out and walked the short distance to the new hostel and met the owner, she was possibly one of the nicest ladies I'd ever met (besides mama of course) she made me feel super welcome and got me sorted straight away, Lady Juliette should win an award for kindness, no joke! After I was settled me and two Germans I met took a walk down little Italy and found a pub to watch the rest of the Champions League final, we managed to catch the second half and it was an amazing game, we then popped back to the hostel so I could grab my camera and we hit up the water front, there were tons of awesome ships down there and even a submarine or two! Got a few snaps and we were going to go aboard the aircraft carrier but it was getting a bit late and only open another hour so we postponed that until tomorrow, instead we took a walk to seaport village and checked that place out which was also pretty sweet. In the evening we headed back to the hostel where I planned pretty much the rest of the transport of my trip and then got speaking to Juliette about travel, she was super interested in my travel stories so me and her talked for ages and she shared a few of her own amazing experiences, my favourite was a crazy guest who kept seeing aliens and her wielding a knife to fend the imaginary aliens off, incredible! After me, her and the other guests were done exchanging stories I called it a night as I wanted an early start the next day to hop aboard the aircraft carrier!
