We had to grab our tickets and jump on the tour bus by 8am this morning..so after a unnecessary tour of union station looking for the ticket booth we jumped on the bus and was ready for our 9 hour tour of DC. Well today was a bit of a cruisey day ( not sure if the e should be there in cruisey). We bid farewell to NY and headed via train to Washington. We had an early breakfast and then had a speedy trip ( all taxi trips are fast) to Penn station. This was a very busy, crazy and confusing place. We were a tad frazzled/dazzled with this place. To keep you all updated on our various food adventures...this is what we feasted on tonight at the federalist ( the hotel restaurant). Due to the fact that we had a good feed for late lunch e decided to graze. It included an entrée of calamari, gnocchi and garlic purée this was followed by a selection of cheeses ( as opposed to the plate of little Jesus from Kath and Kim fame) and a selection of homemade meats and condiments. Very appetizing indeed !
