A relaxing morning, grabbing some breakfast and updating my notes. I sit talking with Sam and one of the local barmen Tuc, who always has a smile on his face. He made sure I had plenty of the fish stew the other night keeping my glass topped up. I sit outside talking to fellow hostel visitors before I go to explore more of Sapa taking in the amazing views. I had planned a moped journey but there has been too much drinking since I got here. Last night supposedly my quiet night but Mick the owner changed that. It doesn't matter though as sometimes having good company is far better than seeing the local culture. Plenty of time for that. As Sam had mentioned in his wisdom, sometimes doing nothing is the right thing to do. There doesn't need to be a requirement to go trekking or see a villiage, there to hoover up the willing tourist. Just enjoy the time you have (LT). Mountain View, so far has been my retreat, a family away from home and an adventure in its own right. More valuable than any trek. I speak with Mo to wish her a happy birthday. She is back in Chang Mai. A quiet night sitting with Ally, Justine, Sam, an Aussie hippy girl called Dom and a German guy called Tim. Tim has come back from Castaways and is exhausted. A nice guy and still has a smile on his face. An early night for all.
