I explore more of Sapa. The temperature making it an easy place to walk round. Find a nice little restaurant and watch the world wander by. Whilst the tribesmen work the rice fields with the buffalo, the Hmong sisters are all over town selling their wares. It can get a little tedious. Tonight is supposed to be a quiet night but the hostel chain owner turns up. An Aussie called Mick. Free drinks sitting with Ally (nicknamed mama as she runs the hostel well), Justine, Cili (lad from Belgium) and Sam. Mick has brought bottles of wine so a nice change. We sit on the rug and talk about music for awhile, Sam has a great eclectic taste and remembers a lot of the bands from the nineties including Morcheeba, Lamb, Lemon Jelly and St Germain. His dad used to own a record shop so nice to talk with him about the scene.
