Our last full day in Spain - this time!
After breakfast all six of us headed to Parc de la Ciutadela - City Park. This is quite a large park and there's a lot going on in it. Tim and Tom played soccer and Bruce and Ben learnt how to use a pentagonal shaped cloth called a dapstar. There were some guys using them as well as walking on a slack rope tied between two trees.
The local council was setting up for concerts here and elsewhere across the city. Perhaps it is their equivalent of the Uitmarkt we saw in Amsterdam.
We walked on past the zoo to the beach at La Barceloneta. We had lunch on the walkway and then the boys headed down to swim.
A lot of fun and a relaxing day all round, although we walked a lot.
The Harrisses headed to the stadium. Bruce and I packed and dined at Les Quinze Nits in the Placa. Ok food at a good price.
Spain is a great place to visit. Madrid and Barcelona are interesting and exciting places to visit. Andalucia has much history to share with the world and does it well. We would like to explore other parts of the country in future and revisit places we have experienced here.
Hasta luego Espana!
