Overnight we got in touch with Anton who had fitted our air suspension and by morning had arranged for a new kit to be sent to us at Victoria Falls where we were heading. Steve & Paula set off in front with us trailing along behind and we planned to make a stop for the night at Choma halfway to Livingstone. Unfortunately we missed a turning and it was only at the Mozambique border we realised something was wrong. We turned around and headed back and as we had done a detour of around 190k we never made Choma that night! Instead we had to stop overnight at a place called Monze about 100k from Choma. There was no camping available so we had to stay at the Southern Comfort Motel which was another typical African 'Fawlty Towers' experience. Our bathroom which was across the hall from our bedroom had no light so we had to shower by candle light and Paula & Steve's bedroom had resident lizards. We were woken with a jolt at just turned 6 a.m. the next morning when the staff turned on the t.v. in the reception/bar at full volume which was just adjacent to our room hence we were up and on the road by 7.15.
