The first part of our journey onto Ethiopia was good. The road was unexpectedly tarmaced the whole way to the border at Gallabat. We passed through the town Nile town of Wadi Medani which is a honeymoon destination for the Sudanese. We stopped for lunch and had the best kebabs of the whole trip. We spent the next four days in Khartoum which was quite a relaxing place. The city itself doesn't have much to see but at least it is easy to get around without being mythered and pestered.
